Minsula is a self-taught artist living and working in Chicago, IL. Her work explores the murkiness of postcolonial existence by hybridizing ideas and imagery from her Igorot heritage, disparate mythologies, and American cartoons that filled her childhood. She approaches themes of loss, repression, recovery, and survival with bodily forms and references to physiology, informed by her work as a physical therapist, luring viewers with the familiar and asking them to sit with the unfamiliar.
